China's machine tool industry is optimistic

Europe has become an important market for Chinese machine tool exports. He predicted that China's machine tool consumption in 2013 will increase by 12% to 38 billion US dollars.

At present, the size of the international machine tool market has more than doubled in 20 years, reaching around US$86 billion in 2011. Since the turn of the century, machine tool consumption has increased by an average of nearly 10% (in U.S. dollars) each year, and the main driving force for growth has come from Asia. In 2011, three-fifths of international machine tool production flowed into the region.

It is expected that the investment in large-scale infrastructure in 2013 will boost China's economic growth, especially investment in high-speed railways, urban rail transit, airports and grid expansion. The process of modernizing China’s industrial infrastructure has accelerated, and the demand for efficient modern manufacturing technologies has increased.

"China's machine tool procurement will therefore continue to rise, and it is expected to increase nearly 12% in 2013 to reach 38.1 billion U.S. dollars. Almost every user industry is driving this market," Schaefer said.

It is reported that the European Machine Tool Show (EMO) in Hannover is a grand event of the world metal processing industry. The theme of “smart production” will be the theme of E-MO 2013 and will be held in Hanover, Germany from September 16 to 21 next year. As of November, 32 Chinese companies have registered to participate in the exhibition, which has more than doubled from the same period of last year.
