Northrop Grumman's new push inertial navigation system

 
Northrop Grumman Corporation of the United States recently introduced the MK 39 Mod 4A Ring Laser marine inertial navigation system, which is the company's latest generation MK 39 series navigation system based on improved RLG technology.
It is reported that the new version of the MK 39 Mod 4A system has several improvements compared to previous versions: half of the deck area occupied, 60% weight reduction, assembly and diagnostics via network applications (no need to remotely control the display), required The number of precision hardware is reduced.
Bill Hannon, vice president of marine systems operations at Northrop Grumman, said, "I believe this new version of the smaller, lighter and more economical MK 39 will be an effective upgrade for the maritime fleet."
The company first introduced RLG technology to the shipbuilding industry in 1990 and became the standard technology for global maritime navigation applications within a few years. The first version of the MK 39 was developed in 1991 and currently has more than 500 systems in use worldwide.
