The acceptance meeting for the localization of the nuclear secondary pump of the Shanghai Million Kilowatt PWR Nuclear Power Plant was successfully completed recently. The nuclear secondary pump designed and developed by Shanghai Electric Power Repair and Construction Plant passed the acceptance of the Shanghai Nuclear Power Office and the nuclear power expert group, and made important contributions to accelerating the localization of nuclear power equipment.
The nuclear secondary pump of the one million kilowatt nuclear power unit is a key equipment of the nuclear power plant. Since September 2003, under the guidance of the Shanghai Nuclear Power Office, the Shanghai Electric Power Repair and Construction Plant has started the preparatory work for market research, program formulation and demonstration of nuclear secondary pumps. After more than three years of hard work, through the cooperation of industry, university and research institutes, Shanghai Electric Power Construction and Finishing Factory has completed the design of hydraulic models and the manufacture of pressure bodies on the basis of digesting and absorbing foreign advanced technologies and relying on its own design and manufacturing capabilities. The key components such as the manufacture of pump shafts have been tackled, and the technology of pumps used in power, petroleum, chemical, metallurgical and other industries has been improved day by day. It has laid a solid foundation for the localization of nuclear power plant nuclear and tertiary pumps.
