On October 14, the world's first pure electric mining truck, the BT3650 pure electric mining vehicle, began industrial trials in the Wujiata open-pit coal mine of the Tiandong Tianlong Group.
The BT3650 pure electric mining truck was jointly developed by Tsinghua University, Baotou Tiansheng Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. and Baotou Beigong Machinery Co., Ltd., with a one-year R&D cycle, independent intellectual property rights, rated load of 50 tons, charging for 10 minutes, full load of 20 kilometers, and operating costs. Only 1/5 of diesel cars. BT3650 pure electric mining vehicle has the characteristics of green environmental protection, zero emission, low consumption, etc. The trials at the Wujia Tower opencast coal mine are mainly for the collection of basic data on energy saving, emission reduction and safe operation for future mass production.
