Semi-micro determination of nitrogen is the main method for determining the crude protein content of feeds. Samples are digested with concentrated sulfuric acid under the influence of a catalyst, and then distilled using a semi-micro Kjelstein distillation apparatus. In the distillation, it is necessary to transfer all of the digested liquid to a person's volumetric flask, and then absorb a part of the dilute solution to perform distillation. The cumbersome and time-consuming operation is greatly affected by human factors. In order to simplify the operation steps and improve the efficiency reduction error, we have improved the distillation apparatus for crude protein determination.
On the basis of the original semi-micro Kjeldahl distillation apparatus, we replaced the reaction chamber in the original apparatus with a digester of a multi-function rapid digester, and added a vapor receiving chamber and an alkali bottle. Distillation volume 50m12% boric acid solution was poured into a 30ml flask. Add 4 drops of methyl red oxol green mixed indicator, connected to the lower end of the condenser. After the digested liquid is cooled, 20 m of distilled water is added, and then the digestive tube is directly connected to the distillation apparatus. Rinse the end of the condenser tube with distilled water and transfer it to a human flask. Remove the flask and digestive tube, replace the new digestive tube and receive fluid.
From the measurement results, the improved distillation apparatus is suitable for all compound feeds and single feeds, and the measurement results have high accuracy and precision. Using an improved distillation apparatus, the digestive tubes are replaced directly without the need to transfer the digestate.
