·Indonesia Association intends to use anti-dumping to prevent Chinese tires

Aziz, chairman of the Indonesian Tire Manufacturers Association (APBI), said that it is necessary to increase regulations to prevent Chinese tires from entering the Indonesian market.
He said that requiring tire dealers to implement the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) is not enough to prevent a large number of tires from entering the local market. In addition, one of the preventive measures that can be made is to implement anti-dumping policies.
Azis said that due to the difficulties of exporting the United States and entering the EU, many Chinese and Indian tires are seeking alternative markets, and Indonesia has become one of the targets.
He stressed that all Indonesian tire manufacturers should learn anti-dumping policies.
Azis added that the construction plans of several Chinese companies in Indonesia have not been put in place.
It is estimated that in 2017, the number of imported tires in Indonesia will increase significantly to 4 million sets.
